Hong Kong is the epicenter of yoga in Asia, with hundreds of thousands of yoga students and an amazing, vibrant energy. Many trainees in this course live in Hong Kong fulltime, but for those of you traveling from other countries, prepare for a fun and easy trip. The city is extremely well organized, has great transportation and infrastructure, and it’ll likely become a place you’ll return to again and again.

Why Hong Kong?

  • Incredible yoga scene
  • Affordable transportation & accommodation options
  • Great food
  • Vibrant energy, lots to see & do

BOOKING TICKETS: Hong Kong is easily accessible from just about anywhere in the world via dozens of major airlines. These days most of the big online travel sites are extremely competitive (meaning the prices are very similar), so we recommend you just pick a favorite booking site and find a flight that meets your needs.

Commonly used airfare sites:

Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) is the main airport in Hong Kong. It is located on the island of Chek Lap Kok, which largely comprises land reclaimed for the construction of the airport itself.

What to Bring

During the course, we’ll be moving, practicing, and teaching all day, so please wear loose yoga clothing—and you might want to pack two changes of clothes per day as you’re sure to sweat.

Clothing/gear to consider:

  • Check average temperatures here
  • Yoga clothes, at least two to three outfits (more if you can)
  • Comfortable walking/hiking shoes (we’ll move around throughout the day and probably take a hike)
  • Layered clothing
  • Backpack/shoulder bag
  • Notebook/journal

First/last day travel planning:

  • All course dates include a first and last ‘travel day,’ meaning the start and end dates of every course are for arrival and departure
  • On the first day, we have orientation in the evening, but if you miss it due to a late flight, it’s not a problem
  • On the last day, there are no scheduled activities, just your flight home
