Instructions: Start at 10 points. Subtract 0.5 points for each time you used a hand, knee, or other support (like your forearm or thigh) while sitting down or rising up.
Scoring:
Start at 10 points. Subtract 0.5 points for each of the following:
– Hand used for support
– Knee used for support
– Other support (e.g. thigh, forearm, side of leg)
– Loss of balance (wobble, stumble, etc)
A score of 8–10 is excellent. Scores below 6 may indicate reduced mobility, balance, or strength and can improve with training.
