#4. CREATIVE ESCAPES
Art, Crafts, Making Music, Home Decorating

“Creativity is intelligence having fun.”

– Albert Einstein

Everyone is creative but often in different ways. How do you express yourself? Do you paint? Play piano? Create blueprints for your dream home? Sketch designs for your website?

Creative escapes are almost always positive, and most people wish they made more time for them. It’s rare as adults that we give ourselves permission to plays the guitar, sew, dream, sketch, and mold with clay. What are your creative escapes? Do you have any? What did you do when you were younger? What have you always wanted to do but haven’t made time for?

YOUR ASSIGNMENT: Think about your life in the past year and the creative outlets employed. What were the positive, creative escapes you utilized? Where there any negative escapes (such as paining and re-painting your house 10x?).

TIP: you’re unlikely to become a piano virtuoso in middle age, but so what? Instead of thinking of creative escapes with a specific goal in mind, think of the act of creating as the goal in and of itself.

IN YOUR JOURNAL
